
The GajaLakshmi Silver Nakkasi Necklace
Opulent temple jewellery fit for a bride! This is a traditional Lakshmi Necklace with `nakkasi' or `nakshi' work (a form of gilt and repousse technique unique to south Indian temple jewellery).In the pendant the Goddess is flanked by two elephants on her side, a 'Kirtimukha' ( demon-face or grotesque-mask used extensively in south Indian architecture and jewellery) on top and two peacocks below .
The necklace string has the `Simha-Mukha' or Lion-face motif on it. Kempu stones and small pearls are used to adorn the necklace and give it a feminine touch. Handcrafted using techniques used in ancient South Indian antique jewellery in Sterling (92.5) Silver and gold-dipped a special process to give it an antique look.
