The Naivedya Silver Manga Malai Necklace

A stunning heritage necklace crafted in the ancient 'Kundala Velai' technique of gem-setting characteristic to temple jewellery of Tamil Nadu, this mango necklace is truly one of a kind. Few examples of this kind of workmanship exist today .

The manga malai is an iconic design in south indian jewellery and its antiquity can be traced to the Chola period. The mango is considered a wish-fulfilling tree and a symbol of love. The necklace uses traditional colours of red, green and white (in ancient times rubies, emeralds and diamonds were used) in a flawless floral pattern to mesmerize and awe us with its intricacies of design and flawless craftsmanship.

The necklace is crafted in Sterling (92.5) Silver and gold-dipped in a special process. It is matched with an earring crafted in the same technique.

(Note: Tassle provided at the end for adjusting the length, we can also provide gold-dipped silver links/chain if desired at an exra cost. The necklace can be bought alone or along with the earrings, prices for both are different and both options given.)

* Store all pieces in airtight plastic covers (this prevents them from
being tarnished or becoming black.)
*Exposed to the atmosphere, all silver is prone to oxidation/ blackening and consequent tarnishing ; this does not in any way signify that the Silver is impure. Gentle rubbing with a silver cleaning cloth or soft cotton cloth will restore the original shine.

*Please note that gold-dipped or gold-plated/ rosegold plated silver
jewellery is meant for occasional use only, it cannot be used
everyday. Gold polish will fade with regular use and frequent exposure to air and water and will need re-plating/polishing.
* All Gold plated ; Rhodium plated ; Rose gold plated silver jewellery
has to be stored in an airtight plastic cover away from
moisture, water and sweat. Proper storage will ensure that the
gold-finish, rhodium or rose-gold plating stays for a long time.
*We gold-plate our jewellery with 24 carat gold which gives it a real gold look. We do not use lacquer or other harmful chemicals.

*Avoid wearing jewellery while cooking, household cleaning,
bathing or swimming .
