Kodava or Coorg jewellery designs like the kadagas (bangles), necklaces (kokkethathi, jomale ) are unique to Coorg. Nature inspires the design of the jewellery, with references to the sun, moon, stars, the serpent, flora, and fauna. There is also a clear influence from an entirely different region. This adds to the mystique surrounding the origins of the Kodavas or Coorgis of Karnataka.
