The Vrtra Silver Rakodi Pendant(Blue)
Dress up in a piece of heritage jewellery in Sterling Silver (92.5%) .The `Rakodi' is one of the several different traditional forms of hair ornamentation used in South India since antiquity. It is a round gold pendant worn on top of the head to simulate a halo, and was used in particular to decorate temple deities and by dancers while performing.
Here a beautifully handcrafted ; intricately detailed, round Rakodi with floral motifs and blue stones is transformed into a pendant. The pendant has been matched with a pair of blue earrings and a flat handwoven short choker-length ,silver chain.
Handcrafted in sterling silver (92.5%) using the centuries old `nakkasi' or gilt & repousse technique of south Indian temple jewellery this is a rare piece indeed.
(Note:The pendant can be bought alone or along with the earrings, and chain prices for all three are different and all options given.)
