The Vrtra Silver Rakodi Pendant
Dress up in a piece of heritage jewellery in Sterling Silver (92.5%) .The `Rakodi' is one of the several different traditional forms of hair ornamentation used in South India since antiquity. It is a round gold pendant worn on top of the head to simulate a halo, and was used in particular to decorate temple deities and by dancers while performing.
Here a beautifully handcrafted ; intricately detailed, round Rakodi with floral motifs and kempu stones is transformed into a pendant .The pendant is hung on a necklace of tiny handwoven red synthetic beads. The pendant is detachable and can be worn on a silver chain too. It is also available in gold-finish on request.
Handcrafted in sterling silver (92.5%) using the centuries old `nakkasi' or gilt & repousse technique of south Indian temple jewellery this is a rare piece indeed.
(Note:The pendant can be bought alone or along with the earrings, prices for both are different and all options given.)
