The Janya Silver Nakkasi Bridal Armlet or Bajuband
Opulent temple jewellery fit for a bride! This is an ornate necklace in a traditional design handcrafted in `nakkasi' or `nakshi' work (a form of gilt and repousse technique unique to south Indian temple jewellery).
The bajuband has the 'Kirtimukha' motif on it ( demon-face or grotesque-mask used extensively in south Indian architecture and jewellery) . Kempu stones are used to adorn it and give it a feminine touch. Handcrafted in the finest traditions of ancient south Indian temple jewellery in Sterling (92.5%) Silver , this armlet is gold-dipped in a special process to give it an antique look.
The armlet comes with a tassle at the back which is used to tie it to the arm.
This piece is also available in the antique silver finish on request. Pair this with The Janya Silver Nakkasi Necklace for a complete look.
