All motifs of temple jewellery are inspired from mythology and have a history behind them.Made up of two different parts, the lower part of this ornate pendant depicts Lord Krishna slaying the serpent `Kaliya' while the upper portion shows 'Kirtimukha' ( demon-face or grotesque-mask used extensively in south Indian architecture and jewellery) in the center with two ' Makaras'  (mythical sea-creatures in Hindu mythology), on either side.

A classic piece of jewellery from the South Indian temple jewellery tradition this pendant is a heirloom piece. Fully handcrafted using techniques used in ancient South Indian antique gold temple jewellery the entire piece is crafted in pure Sterling Silver (92.5%) and gold-dipped.
