The Shiva-Shakti Silver Pendant

Style
0 in stock.

A rare piece of temple jewellery, the square-shaped pendant of this necklace shows Shiva and Parvati. While Shiva is one of the three most prominent gods of the Hindu pantheon ,Parvati is the goddess of fertility, love and devotion; as well as of divine strength and power. In Hindu mythology, Shiva symbolises consciousness, the masculine principle; while Shakti (Parvati) symbolises the feminine principle, the activating power and energy.Only when Shiva and Shakti combine can action, movement and creation arise.

Crafted using techniques used in ancient South Indian antique gold temple jewellery (gilt and repousse) the entire piece is crafted in pure Sterling Silver (92.5%) and oxdised . The row of kempu stones used to decorate the pendant give it a feminine touch ; the necklace string is made of unique-shaped hollow Sterling Silver (92.5%) beads woven in silver wire and oxidised. It is paired with a pair of intricate motif earstuds .

(Note:The pendant can be bought alone or along with the chain or earrings, prices for all three are different and all options given.)
